Hayley is an American performer and actress. Most people know her as Erica Goldberg, from the show 'The Goldbergs' on television. But, she is to be primarily as a musician. Music is her first love, she claims; it's something that she started dabbling at when she was nine years old. She began training in professional music when she was 12 years old. After some experimentation with songwriting, she only recorded her album of music covers when she was fourteen. And the rest is history. Orrantia is a native American who has Hispanic origins. While she grew up with exclusively English and has never lived in Mexico she is very satisfied with her Hispanic culture. In order to preserve her heritage she's learning Spanish. She also creates songs that incorporate the language. She has recorded the Spanish version of the song called 'Hasta Verte. Orrantia appeared on The X Factor during its debut season in the summer of 2011. Orrantia got selected as a result of the submission of a YouTube video that she submitted and got four "yes" votes from judge at the time of live auditions held in Seattle, Washington. Although she originally auditioned as a solo artist, during "Hollywood Week" the singer, along with three other female vocalists were placed into groups for the remaining part of the auditions. They were eliminated during the fifth week of live performances.
