Luciana Paoluzzi and Maria Rota Paoluzzi were raised in Rome. Luciana Paoluzzi is the child of Manlio Paoluzzi (an Italian military officer) and Maria Rota Paoluzzi (a mistress of Benito Mussolini). There are no known siblings. She was in a local high school. Upon matriculating in 1955 she studied naval engineering at the Scientific Academy of Milan - Luciana was the sole female in the class. After two years of study, she began modeling. Shortly after that she had the opportunity to be a part of Three Coins in the Fountain while in Rome visiting a friend of her father. Her initial husband was Brett Halsey who is also an actor. They made Return to the Peyton Palace in the year 1960, after having wed. Luciana and Charles had a son who was called Charles on June 13, 1961. The couple broke up after a year of the birth of their son. Luciana then gained custody. Between 1962 and 1970 Luciana was with Tony Athony, who was an actor and producer. He was greatly influenced by her performance in the film Green Slime and based on that he wrote and produced his own hybrid Spaghetti Western for which he became somewhat popular.
