Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw also known by her stage name Elizabeth Alice MacGraw has been an actor, model as well as an animal rights activist in America. She has been acclaimed for her roles in films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) and The Getaway, (1972). She was raised by an artist family from New York and wanted to explore a career in the arts. Her first job was as a photographer's assistant before moving on to acting and modeling. The first two films she appeared in, she was recognized as a winner of an award called the Golden Globe Award as Most Popular Young Actress. MacGraw's 1970 film Love Story proved a major success and earned her international recognition as well as several awards including an Academy Award' nomination and the Golden Globe award. MacGraw was deemed the top female box-office star of the world in just three releases. Handprints, signatures and footprints were immortalized in 1972 at the Grauman's Chinese Theater. Some of the films she's been in are The Getaway Convoy Players as in the mini-series on TV The Winds of War. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography, was released. MacGraw's been married three different occasions.
